Unknown streets, incomprehensible turns, anonymous distances. The road seemed to never end. I’d stopped even trying to read the street signs or keep track of where we were. After every bump, twist and turn, as soon as I regained stability, I looked up and there she was — smiling down at me with a wise, old, knowledgeable smile — as though telling me, “the road may seem endless to you now but think about it, would be rather be on one that ends?”
